Cascade Redevelopment

Working closely with the client, Fire + Earth Ventures, the new fit out of the Cascade Brewery Bar, Restaurant and retail offering creates a bold, yet playful step back in time, with a nod to the brewery’s industrial nature. The concept connects two disjointed spaces of different eras to create an integrated and engaging venue.

Specialty painted walls, capped with a brilliant Cascade green upper dado and ceiling dramatically changes the space – connecting visitors with the immediate gardens and the distant bush vistas of kunanyi / Mt Wellington.

The two-toned scheme links the fit-out to the panelling dado found in the historic main house, with a regency panelled ceiling added to the contemporary spaces for a deeper connection to the heritage character of the original building.

Antique furniture and lighting are combined with custom contemporary furniture and joinery, utilising raw, utilitarian materials.

A large U-Shaped bar provides an anchor point within the fit-out, layered with rich brass and panel detailing. Patrons now enjoy expansive views to the brewery, the gardens and the mountain beyond.
