		<description><![CDATA[Kingston High School has been announced winner of the FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2012 in the Institutional Architecture category. <br/><br/>Designed by HASSELL in association with JAWS, sustainability is a key driver for the school with the site plan integrating the buildings into the landscape with sustainable materials, green roofs, rainwater harvesting, grey water recycling, vegetable and native gardens. <br/><br/>The design embraces passive solar and low energy design, utilising photovoltaic panels, good daylighting and focused views of the River Derwent from every building.<br/><br/>An exclusive prize presentation ceremony will be held during the BCI Asia Awards 2012 gala event in May at the Conrad Centennial Singapore, with the entry published in a special supplement in the annual FuturArc Green Awards Issue and on the FuturArc website.<br/>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Planning approval was recently granted to the Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Service to develop a new Park Centre on the disused, government-owned airstrip just outside the northern entrance to the iconic Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair National Park.<br/><br/>JAWSARCHITECTS and Inspiring Place developed a Master Plan for the Cradle Mountain Gateway zone, comprising a new Park Centre, Café, Parks Administration, public amenities and a substantial car park which caters for visitors to the Gateway Zone and those transferring to shuttle buses into the National Park.<br/>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Following a two-stage submission process which included a limited design competition, JAWSARCHITECTS have been awarded the commission to design the public accommodation huts for the Three Capes Track in south east Tasmania. <br/><br/>The vision is for the Three Capes Track to be Australia’s premier coastal walk, taking in the stunning sea cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula including Cape Raoul, Cape Pillar and Cape Hauy. The track will enable a multi-day bushwalk with on site accommodation facilities strategically located along the track route within the Tasman National Park. <br/>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[Designed by JAWSARCHITECTS and JAWS2, the fitout of the new headquarters for MyState and Tasmanian Perpetual Trustees is due to commence in October 2011. <br/><br/>Located in the second stage of Giameos Constructions’ office development, also designed by JAWSARCHITECTS and currently under construction at 137 Harrington Street, the new tenancy will occupy all three levels of the building.<br/><br/>The new office will bring together the two entities under one roof and consolidate workers from a number of disparate office locations across the CBD.<br/><br/>A café will be located on the ground floor to complement the office space and help activate the street frontage.<br/>]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[A consultant team led by JAWSARCHITECTS has won the tender for the Design of the Port of Echuca Interpretation and Visitor Experience for the Shire of Campaspe on the Victoria – New South Wales Border. <br/><br/>The team comprises JAWS, Hansen Partnership, Hierophant Communications and SEMF. <br/><br/>The Port of Echuca on the Murray River is a heritage site of state and national significance, particularly its role as the ‘Paddle Steamer Capital’, a title earned through more than 100 paddle steamers being built there. <br/><br/>The project involves development and implementation of a fully coordinated visitor experience and interpretation strategy as part of the Port of Echuca Revitalisation Project.<br/>]]></description>
